View Missions tab

Launching ArcGIS Mission Manager opens to the Missions List where a list of all missions a user is a member of or owns is visible. This page lets you view the details of each mission or begin participating in one that is selected.

Display options

In the list and grid views, click Open Mission to access the mission analyst experience, or click Mission Details to view information about the mission. In the table view, click the overflow menu to access these same options.

Each mission is displayed with the following:

  • Mission title
  • Mission status
  • A thumbnail
  • The name of the mission owner
  • A summary of the mission
  • The date the mission was created
  • The date of the most recent modification made to the mission
Note:
You cannot view the thumbnail and summary in table view.

Single mission upgrade

If the ArcGIS Enterprise and Mission environments have recently undergone an upgrade, a message appears stating that the mission was created with an earlier version of ArcGIS Enterprise. If you are an administrator, you would be able to select:

  • Upgrade Mission – which would upgrade that singular mission.
  • Admin Settings – which would take you to the Admin Settings where you could perform a batch upgrade.

If you do not have permission to perform a mission upgrade, you need to contact your administrator to assist in upgrading your missions.

Table view

In the table view, click the overflow menu to access these same options. Each mission is displayed with the following:

  • Mission title
  • Mission status
  • The name of the mission owner
  • The date the mission was created
  • The date of the most recent modification made to the mission
Note:

You cannot view the thumbnail and summary in table view

Change the mission status

The View Missions page also allows you to change the mission status from the list. To change your mission status on the Mission List, complete the following workflow:

  1. Locate the mission whose status you want to change.
  2. Click the mission status to open the drop-down menu.
  3. Click the status you want to move the mission into.

If you select the status that your mission is currently in, the mission list will not change and the drop-down menu will close. However, if you select a new status, the mission list will reorder itself based on your sorting preferences.

Sort options

The Mission List is sorted by mission status by default, with active missions displayed at the top and in alphabetical order by mission title. You can also sort missions by date created, date modified, Mission Name, or Mission Owner as well as choosing which direction to sort by. Missions also can be searched by the mission name, username of the mission creator, or tags associated with the mission. The items will automatically display based on the criteria searched upon in the Mission List.
